TROG ASM | 30 June to 3 July

Despite our hope and determination that this year’s TROG ASM would be delivered as a face-to- face meeting on 14-17 March, it has become apparent over recent weeks that our vision of bringing the community together at this time is unacceptably risky given the spike in COVID cases nationally, affecting certainty around people’s ability to attend.

The ASM committee has been monitoring this situation closely while also exploring contingencies for the ASM hosting. Given the advice from our peers and the inherent risks should the TROG ASM proceed as planned, a decision has been made to reschedule the ASM to the next available dates, 30 June to 3 July 2022, to be held as a face-to-face meeting at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast, Qld.

Although this delay is disappointing, we look to our ASM theme “Emerging and Evolving” working to our community’s adaptive strengths and look forward to the prospect of connecting again in a face-to-face format with more delegates, as well as our confirmed presenters, sponsors and exhibitors.

As we navigate through the disruption, we ask for your patience and thank all our sponsors, presenters and delegates for their ongoing support of the TROG ASM and look forward to seeing you 30 June to 3 July 2022.

Message from the 2022 ASM Organising Committee

On behalf of the TROG ASM Organising Committee, we welcome you to participate in our 34th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) to be held in person at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast, from 30 June – 3 July 2022.

In 2020 and 2021 the ASM changed from an in person to a virtual event. In 2022 we aim to re-unite the membership in a controlled and safe environment on the Gold Coast. Gold Coast is a vibrant city of sun, surf and sand hosting world class beaches and great activities to suit everyone’s interests and that of the family too. March will be an excellent sun soaked and warm time of the year. We look forward to welcoming you to the Gold Coast to showcase all that it has to offer.

The 2022 ASM will host a number of keynote speakers as we look at emerging topics in radiation medicine research. The TROG membership has grown to over 1580, and the ASM will host more than 300 delegates from Australia and New Zealand, making for an excellent networking and engagement opportunity.

The ASM Program Committee is developing a diverse and innovative program, which will include collaborative workshops, scientific sessions showcasing ongoing clinical trials, discussion of new clinical trials and future research strategies.

The Organising Committee looks forward to welcoming you to the sunshine state in June 2022.
