2022 Technical Research Workshop Challenges

2022 Technical Research Workshop Challenges

TROG Plan Challenge

This year, TROG in collaboration with Elekta ProKnow, will be running a Functional Lung Planning Challenge. This means that participants will be required to plan not one, but two radiation therapy treatment plans, in order to be in the running to win the challenge! One plan will be functionally optimal and the other will be anatomically optimal. The planning challenge will be run in preparation of Professor Paul Keall’s exciting new clinical trial, Ventilation Imaging for Thoracic Lung cancer radiation therapy (VITaL). We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for participants to increase their skillset in a relatively novel field of research.

The 2022 TROG Plan Challenge will be opening soon! Register your interest by completing this Registration Form.

TROG Contouring Accuracy Study

The TROG Head and Neck organ at risk (OAR) Contouring Accuracy Study is back! This year, TROG in collaboration with Elekta ProKnow, will be challenging participants ‘to beat or not to beat the machine’. Any manually delineated contours generated for this challenge will be compared to at least seven different auto-segmentation platforms. So, will you take the red pill and participate in this man vs machine challenge?

The 2022 TROG Contouring Accuracy Study will be opening soon! Register your interest by completing this Registration Form.

The results and winners will be presented at the Technical Research Workshop on Thursday, 30 June 2022 at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.
